About Me
I am a neurodivergent parent raising four neurodivergent kids. When my oldest first started school and began his special education journey, I was overwhelmed and worried. Thankfully, many experienced and knowledgeable parents guided me through that period, and eventually, I became one of those experienced parents helping others.
As an advocate, my approach is both collaborative and informative. I aim to provide clarity and support, ensuring your voice is heard and that Individual Education Plan (IEP) team discussions center on your child's unique needs.
I’m an advocate member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA) and a graduate of the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental & Related Disabilities (LEND) program at the UC Davis MIND Institute. My interests include neuro-affirming practices, the intersection of mental health and neurodivergence, and implementing relationship-centered approaches in educational settings.
I live in Elk Grove, California, with my four children. In my free time, I enjoy gardening and volunteering as a special education advocate for families in the Elk Grove Unified School District through a local nonprofit, EG S.P.E.A.K.S.
